Itinerary:

07:00 AM – Departure from Chiang Mai: Begin your adventure with an early departure from your hotel. Enjoy the picturesque landscape as we drive towards Chiang Rai, passing through rolling hills and lush countryside.

09:30 AM – Mae Kajan Hot Springs: Take a quick break at the Mae Kajan Hot Springs, where you can stretch your legs, enjoy a coffee, and take in the calming atmosphere of this natural spot.

10:30 AM – Visit Wat Rong Khun (The White Temple): Explore the stunning Wat Rong Khun, famously known as the White Temple. This modern masterpiece, designed by national artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, combines traditional Buddhist imagery with contemporary art to create a truly unique experience.

11:30 AM – Explore the Black House (Baan Dam Museum): Visit the Baan Dam Museum, also known as the Black House, created by National Artist Thawan Duchanee. This collection of dark, eerie structures and art pieces focuses on themes of death and impermanence, symbolized through the use of buffalo horns and other natural elements.

12:30 PM – Lunch at a Local Restaurant: Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, sampling the rich flavors of Northern Thai dishes in a relaxed setting.

1:30 PM – Visit the Golden Triangle: Arrive at the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet. Enjoy panoramic views of the Mekong River and learn about the area’s historical significance as a major hub for the opium trade.

2:30 PM – Hall of Opium Museum: Visit the Hall of Opium Museum to gain a deeper understanding of the history of the opium trade in the region, its impact on the local population, and the efforts made to combat it.

3:30 PM – Chiang Saen Ancient City Ruins: Explore the ancient city ruins of Chiang Saen, one of the oldest cities in Thailand. Walk among the remnants of ancient temples and city walls, absorbing the deep history of this once-thriving city.

4:30 PM – Visit Akha Hill Tribe Village & Long-Neck Karen Village: Experience the unique lifestyles of the Akha hill tribe and the Long-Neck Karen people.
